Ore. tribes getting shot at reclaiming land
Monday, August 25, 2003

The General Services Administration has accepted a late application to turn over a former national guard site to the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians.

The tribes want to reclaim the 43-acre waterfront property. But the Bureau of Indian Affairs reportedly failed to forward the request onto the GSA, prompting the tribes to file a lawsuit.
