Nev. tribe won't take position on Western mural
Friday, August 15, 2003

The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony of Nevada has decided not to take a position on proposed Western-themed mural, chairman Arlan Melendez said.

The tribe was asked by the city of Reno for its opinion on the mural, which depicts Indians watching over a group of settlers. It appears as if the Indians are ready to attack something.

The Reno city council is considering displaying the mural at the new Downtown Events Center.
