Democrat report critical of Bush's use of science
Friday, August 8, 2003

The Democratic staff on the House Reform Committee issued a report on Thursday highlighting examples of what it said was the Bush administration's misuse of science for political gain.

"Politics and Science in the Bush Administration" is an ongoing project of Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), a critic of the White House's policies. The report charges that the administration is manipulating scientific data to support conservative viewpoints on a wide range of subjects, from the environment to abortion to missle defense.
