Bill would give ANWR land to Native corporation

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) has introduced a bill to transfer title of 2,000 acres within the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to the Kaktovik village corporation.

The bill seeks to speed up other land transfers to Native corporations. Of the 44 million acres promised, 29 million has yet to be conveyed to regional and village entities.
