Tribes holding Sacred Run to protest telescopes
Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Representatives of several Southwestern tribes will join for the 10th annual Mount Graham Sacred Run this week.

The 100-mile run was started to protest a telescope project on the mountain, which the tribes hold sacred. Participants will start on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation Thursday morning and end on the mountain Friday afternoon.

About 125 people are expected to join the run.
