The U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona announced indictments against 24 people for drug trafficking on the Fort Apache Reservation.

Details are scarce but CBS5 said the arrests stem from drug, firearms and gang activity. Some 18 people have been arrested so far, the Associated Press reported.

The reservation is home to the White Mountain Apache Tribe. A 2010 series in The White Mountain Independent said traffickers were targeting the reservation due to limited law enforcement.

Federal and state authorities cooperated on the bust.
