Members of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians of Michigan re-elected Larry Romanelli as their ogema, or leader.

Romanelli defeated challenger Steve Parsons with 56 percent of the vote, according to the unofficial results from the April 24 vote. His victory marked the first time in modern tribal history that an ogema has won a third term in office, The Muskegon Chronicle reported.

Tribal members also elected four council members, three judges and two election board members.
