A fight in a small city in Montana is being blamed on a dispute that apparently originated on the Rocky Boy's Reservation.

Authorities say two cars rolled into Big Sandy on Monday afternoon. The occupants emerged from a truck and a sedan and began fighting each other. At one point, someone started up a chain saw and started swinging it, The Great Falls Tribune reported.

The fracas only lasted a few minutes and was witnessed by dozens in the city's commercial district, the paper said. Miraculously, there were no major injuries -- one person suffered a superficial knife wound.

Seven people -- four men and two women -- have been charged in connection with the dispute. Their names weren't reported.

"From what we've been able to gather, the initial dispute actually took place on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, and the pickup gave chase to the sedan," Chouteau County Sheriff Vern Burdick told the paper.

Rocky Boy's is home to the Chippewa Cree Tribe. Big Sandy is about 10 miles from one of the reservation's borders.
