Woman on Crow Reservation admits to Social Security fraud

A woman from the Crow Reservation in Montana pleaded guilty to Social Security fraud.

Caroline Dee Bighair, 41, admitted that she lied about the presence of her ex-husband in the family's home in order to claim more than $23,000 in benefits for their son over a period of four years. Her ex-husband is Lawrence Bighair, the former sheriff in Big Horn County.

Bighair faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. She will be sentenced June 17.
