The Muscogee Nation started construction on a $22 million entertainment venue at the Riverwalk Crossing in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The FlyingTee Entertainment and Golf Complex will offer high-tech golf, family oriented games, restaurants, a sports bar and event space. The 53,000 square-foot facility is due to open in early 2016.

“I think today, with what we’re announcing, allows for that diamond to be a little more shiny,” Chief George Tiger said of the Riverwalk development, Muscogee Nation News reported.

The tribe purchased the property on the west bank of the Arkansas River for $11.5 million in April 2012. The site used to be a popular entertainment and retail draw but most tenants left and the property went into foreclosure.

The tribe has said it will ask the Bureau of Indian Affairs to place the property in trust.
