House backs package to transfer federal land to Te-Moak Tribe

The House passed H.R.5205, the Northern Nevada Land Conservation and Economic Development Act, by a voice vote on Monday.

The bill includes the Elko Motocross and Tribal Conveyance Act. It will transfer 373 acres from the Bureau of Land Management to the Te-Moak Tribe. The land will be placed in trust.

The bill awaits action in the Senate.
