Vice chairman from Nisqually Tribe appears in court in theft case

William Frank, the vice chairman of the Nisqually Tribe of Washington, is being accused of stealing more than $50,000.

Frank allegedly withdrew money from the tribe's accounts in March and April. Authorities said he put the money into his own personal account.

Frank has been charged with 14 charges of second-degree theft and one charge of first-degree theft. He is also facing attempted robbery charges in connection with two alleged bank robbery attempts in Washington.

Frank is the son of the late Billy Frank Jr.
