Judge dismisses Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe election suit





A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit over alleged election irregularities within the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts.

Tribal members sued the Bureau of Indian Affairs to dispute a 2009 election. Judge Denise Casper, however, said the federal courts lack jurisdiction in the matter.
