Seminole Tribe sued over failed business deal with music group

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is being sued by the former manager for the music group Candlebox.

The tribe allegedly agreed to finance the band in exchange for the rights to new releases, sales and profits from a tour in 2013. But the deal fell apart and Candlebox fired its manager.

The former manager is now suing the tribe in federal court. The lawsuit claims the tribe never paid $400,000 as promised.

A tribal spokesperson called the lawsuit "frivolous" and noted that the band is not a party to it.
