Haliwa-Saponi family searching for answers a year after death





September 7 marks the one-year anniversary of the death of Faith Hedgepeth, who was a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe of North Carolina.

Hedgepeth, 19, was found dead in her apartment near the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She was a sophomore and was active in the Indian community.

Police are offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. DNA evidence reportedly points to a male suspect.
