Male inmate accused of assaulting female inmate at tribal jail

A male inmate has been charged for assaulting a female inmate at a jail operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona.

The inmates were placed in the same cell. Detention officers caught the 21-year-old man assaulting the 23-year-old woman.

Emmanuel Burnette has been charged with two counts of engaging in a sexual act by force.
