By Native Sun News Staff PINE RIDGE — The official results of the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s primary election, which was held Tuesday, Oct. 9, were recently posted on the tribe’s website. The top two vote-getters for the offices of president and vice president will move on to the tribe’s general election on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6. Porcupine District has only four people running, so no primary was held there, and all four candidates will automatically advance to the general election. In the Pine Ridge Village District, the largest district on the Pine Ridge Reservation, six will advance to the general election to vie for three spots on the tribal council, and the remainder of the districts will have four advance from the primary to the general election to compete for two spots respectively. There were a total of 3,558 ballots cast. After all votes were verified and tallied, the totals are as follows: PRESIDENT
