Wyoming tribes asked to negotiate new deal for trash service

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe are being asked to negotiate a new agreement for trash service on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.

The current agreement with the Fremont County Solid Waste Disposal District expires in December. It covers four transfer stations on the reservation, which could go without service if the parties don't reach a new deal.

The district made an offer for the tribes to manage the stations, The Riverton Ranger reported. But the tribes said the proposed fee wasn't enough, according to the paper.
