North Dakota tribal member charged for sexual abuse of minor

Nathan Dubray, a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation, has been charged with felony sexual abuse of an eight-year-old girl.

Dubray, 27, faces life in prison if convicted of two counts of gross sexual imposition. He told authorities he was intoxicated and doesn't remember if he abused the girl at her home in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Dubray, who has a wife and three children, was staying at the home when the alleged abuse occurred. He said the girl's mother "was like a mom to me," The Grand Forks Herald reported.
