North Dakota tribe submits land-into-trust application for ranch

The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation of North Dakota wants a 9,300-acre ranch placed in trust

The tribe bought the property in 1999 and it currently houses a bison farm. The site generates about $3,500 in local property taxes.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is considering the tribe's application.
