September trial scheduled for murders of two Spirit Lake siblings





A man accused of murdering two children on the Spirit Lake Dakotah Nation in North Dakota is due to go to trial on September 23.

Valentino “Tino” James Bagola, 19, faces two counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of siblings Destiny Jane Shaw-DuBois, 9, and Travis Lee DuBois Jr, 6. He is also accused of aggravated sexual abuse and child abuse in the case of Destiny and child abuse in the case of Travis.

The children were found dead in May 2011.
