United Keetoowah Band to reopen roll for relinquished members

The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma is reopening its roll to people who relinquished their membership.

Chief George Wickliffe said some people were forced to give up their UKB status in order to enroll within another tribe and receive benefits and services. They will now have one chance to reapply for reinstatement.

Requests must be sent by mail.
