Rincon Band expects to open $3M travel plaza in early August

The Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians in California announced plans for a $3 million travel plaza.

The facility will include a convenience store, gas station, car wash and a Subway sandwich shop. The 4,000 square-foot complex is expected to open in early August.

"Owning and operating our own businesses allows the tribe to institute management and employee training and job options for tribal members and our neighbors," Jim Murguia, the chairman of the tribe's economic development corporation, told The North County Times.
