Agua Caliente Band releases results of tribal council election

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California announced the results of its tribal council election.

The election was held March 15, four days after the passing of the late chairman Richard Milanovich. He was re-elected to a record 15th term, The Palm Springs Desert Sun reported.

Vice Chairman Jeff L. Grubbe will continue to serve as acting chairman. It wasn't reported if there will be another election, or an appointment, for a permanent chair.
