San Manuel Band spent $1M on private party for politicians





The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians spent $1 million on a private party for politicians, according to news reports.

The party featured a concert by country music star Carrie Underwood. About 1,000 guests each received a ticket, meal and gift bag worth about $300.

Otherwise, the tribe only spent around $8,620 on lobbying between June and September.
