Saginaw Chippewa Tribe releases results of primary election





The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan held a primary election on Tuesday.

A total of 63 candidates filed to run for 12 council seats. The field was narrowed down to the top 20 vote-getters.

According to the results, 11 of 12 incumbents landed in the top 20. They will advance to the general election on November 8.

The council members serve for two-year terms.
