Las Vegas Pauite Tribe pays tribute to culture with golf courses

The Las Vegas Paiute Tribe of Nevada pays tribute to its culture and surrounding at its golf resort.

The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort features three courses: Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and Wolf. Snow Mountain, or nu-wav kaiv in the Paiute language, refers to Mount Charleston, where the tribe went for water, hunting and gathering.

Sun Mountain, or tav-Ai kaiv, refers to the early morning prayers that tribal members give towards the mountain. Wolf, or Kwetoo-Unuv, is a unique course since the animal isn't usually found in the area.
