Willie Sharp steps down from chairman's post of Blackfeet Nation





Willie Sharp Jr. stepped down as chairman of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana on Friday, citing disputes with other tribal leaders.

Sharp told the Associated Press that he and other council members disagreed over hiring practices and contracts with non-Indian entities.

Sharp was in the middle of a two-year term. He will remain on the council.
