Members of the Crow Tribe of Montana are eligible for direct assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

More than 200 homes on the reservation were damaged by major flooding in May. FEMA can provide assistance with rebuilding efforts.

“There are people that are still displaced that aren’t in the homes because of the safety and hazard of their homes,” tribal liaison April Toineeta told The Billings Gazette.

FEMA is staffing an office on the reservation. Tribal members can also apply for help online or call FEMA.
