Charges dropped for Q'orianka Kilcher White House protest





Federal prosecutors dropped charges against actress/activist Q’orianka Kilcher and her mother, who were arrested for a protest outside the White House in June 2010.

Kilcher, whose father is Quechua from Peru, chained herself to the White House fence while her mother poured a black substance over her. They were protesting oil development in Peru and the treatment of indigenous people.

Charges were dropped after Kilcher and her mother completed community service.
