Former Aquinnah Wampanaog chairwoman wins town seat





Beverly Wright, a former chairwoman of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe, won election to the board of selectmen in the town of Aquinnah, Massachusetts.

Wright easily defeated incumbent Camille Rose for the post. The tally was 124 to 95.

Wright joins Jim Newman and Spencer Booker on the board. Booker is also a tribal member.
