Ousted Snoqualmie council members win ruling in tribal court

Two members of the Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington are going to try to reclaim their seats on the tribal council.

Kanium Ventura and his mother, Arlene Ventura, were ousted from the council in connection with an audit of tribal finances. The tribe filed criminal charges against them in tribal court but a judge dismissed the case yesterday, The Seattle Times reports.

The Ventura's attorney said they will ask the court for an order to reinstate them on the council.
