Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation looks into Fiesta Bowl contract

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation of Arizona is investigating a "secret" arrangement that tribal leaders might not even know about.

The tribe has an agreement with the Fiesta Bowl to sponsor the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade. The tribe pays about $400,00 a year under the contract.

But under a secret arrangement, Fiesta Bowl apparently took about 10 percent of the $400,000 and gave it to "Person X," according to an investigative report. Person X has been identified as Billy C. Taylor, who has been described as a "close friend" of the tribe's president, Clinton Pattea.

Pattea serves on the Fiesta Bowl board as part of its sponsorship.
