Brothers sentenced over 'punk a Nav' incident in New Mexico

Two brothers have been sentenced for kidnapping and beating a man from the Navajo Nation.

On October 5, 2009, Jose Garcia, and Joshua Garcia, 23, admitted that they offered a ride to Leroy Thompson in order to take his money. Jose 21, wanted to "punk a Nav," another man who witnessed the attack told police.

Jose Garcia was sentenced to nine years in prison for the crime. Joshua Garcia was sentenced to six year.

The incident took place in Farmington, New Mexico.
