Idaho Council on Indian Affairs chooses new leaders at meeting

The Idaho Council on Indian Affairs met briefly for an organizational meeting on Wednesday.

Rep. Bob Nonini (R) was chosen as chairman. Chief L. Allan, the chairman of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, was elected as vice chairman.

The council was created by the state Legislature to address tribal issues and tribal-state relations.
