Kickapoo man faces charges in tribal and state court for accident

A member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Texas who has been charged in tribal court in connection with a fatal accident also faces charges in state court.

Raul Rodriguez, 35, has been charged with second-degree homicide in tribal court for the death of Adeline Hutson on December 11, 2010. He is being held in a rehabilitation center while his case proceeds in tribal court.

Meanwhile, Maverick County District Attorney Robert Serna expects to file charges of ntoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault against Rodriguez. The land where the accident occurred is apparently not held in trust.
