Jury convenes for second day of deliberations in Aquash murder
Jurors reconvened for a second day to deliberate the fate of a man charged with the 1975 kidnapping and murder of American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou Aquash.

The jury was unable to reach a verdict after nearly six hours on Thursday. They will decide whether John Graham, a Native man from Canada, is guilty for Aquash's death in December 1975.

Graham faces life in prison if convicted of murder, kidnapping and sexual assault charges. He was initially charged in federal court but the indictment was dismissed because he is not "Indian" under federal law.
