Nine Minnesota tribes contribute nearly $1.2M to state politicians
Nine tribes in Minnesota have poured nearly $1.2 million into political campaigns in the state.

The Prairie Island Indian Community, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community and the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe were the top three givers, Politics in Minnesota reported.

The overwhelming majority of the tribal donations went to Democrats. Only $47, 500 went to Republicans.
