Kanesatake First Nation calls meeting to discuss youth violence
The Kanesatake First Nation of Quebec held an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss acts of youth violence on the reserve.

Band members say a group of youth is responsible for vandalism, arson, attacks and other crimes. They youth recently burned tires at a sacred burial ground and littered the area with bottles.

"Community members are being beaten, there are drugs circulating, alcohol, and there is a certain little group that is doing this," Cathy Nelson told CBC News.

Grand Chief Paul Nicolas said law enforcement e has become more difficult because the province provides services to the reserve.
