Eastern Shoshone Tribe votes down ban on possession of alcohol
Members of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming rejected a proposed ban on alcohol possession but approved other changes to the law and order code.

The ban was among several issues on the ballot last week, The Riverton Ranger reported. The paper said tribal members approved harsher penalties for people convicted of child neglect and child abuse.

The tribe is based on the Wind River Reservation.
