YourNews: Man upset with renting home to Puyallup Tribe member
"I am trying to get any publicity I can get on my situation. I rented my house to a member of the Puyallup Tribe. After they were there for only a little over a year they left about $25,000 of damage. They abandoned the house and did not leave a forwarding address or any form of contact.

Even if I could find them they do not have any property, bank accounts, jobs or anything else that would give me any money. I have insurance on the house for being a rental but my claim was denied because the policy doesn’t cover vandalism by any person living at the residence. I an now 3 months behind on my mortgage.

Now I am caught in a catch 22 I can't rent the house or move back in myself without fixing it but I can't fix it without any money. I was not making money off the rent I was trying to keep my house and the tenants couldn't afford any more.

The Puyallup Tribe helped them with their rent when they had got behind and they also paid their damage deposit but when I contacted the Puyallup Tribe they just told me they can't do anything since they are not on the lease. So by being a nice guy they destroyed my house."
