Crow Tribe looking for a loan to plug $2.1M deficit in latest budget
The Crow Tribe of Montana is in a deficit for the second year in a row, Chairman Cedric Black Eagle said.

The tribe's budget has a $2.1 million deficit. That's up from the $1 million deficit in 2009.

The tribe is looking for a $1.5 million loan to cover the deficit, which Black Eagle attributed to a drop in coal royalties and a loss in the tribe's investment portfolio.
