The Obama administration has reached settlements in two more discrimination lawsuits against the Department of Agriculture but there's no word of a deal with Indian farmers and ranchers.
The administration is proposing $1.3 billion for female and Latino farmers. That's in addition to a $1.25 billion settlement previously announced with African-American farmers.
The Keepseagle
case for Indian farmers and ranchers remains under discussion. A month ago, an attorney said they were "nowhere close" to a settlement.
