Marshall McKay, the chairman of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation of California, has taken a personal leave.
A tribal spokesperson would not tell The Woodland Daily Democrat why McKay is on a 30-day leave. "He anticipates returning to his full duties when he comes back in 30 days," the spokesperson said.
Anthony Roberts is serving as chair for now.
