Crow Creek Sioux chair loses reelection bid by 11 votes
Members of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe of South Dakota went to the polls last Thursday.

Incumbent chairman Brandon Sazue Sr. lost his bid for re-election by just 11 votes. Former chairman Duane Big Eagle Sr. won the post.

Sazue was the victim of a federal criminal retaliation case that saw three former tribal leaders sentenced to prison.
