Little Traverse Bay Bands pursues energy development
The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians of Michigan will use a $80,200 stimulus grant to pursue two energy projects.

One is a wind project. The tribe will purchase equipment to conduct a one-year study on wind speed.

The second is a biodiesel fuel project. The tribe wants to convert waste into energy.

The stimulus grant came from the Department of Energy.
