Redding Rancheria purchase ranch property for $4M
The Redding Rancheria of California purchased a 64-acre ranch for $4 million.

The Lowry Ranch sits adjacent to the reservation. The tribe hasn't decided what do with the land, although a health center could be in the plans.

"Obviously, the land is unique to us - it happens to be right next to the Rancheria, with the creek, so it's a piece of property we have been interested in for a long time," CEO Tracy Edwards told The Redding Record-Searchlight."We are just pleased to be able to acquire the land."

The tribe will pay property taxes on the ranch.
