Agenda for Senate Indian Affairs business meeting
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a business meeting tomorrow to consider pending legislation.

The meeting was originally scheduled to take place last week but Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota), the chairman of the committee, postponed it to address some issues. Both bills on the agenda are controversial:
S.1703, a bill to fix the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Carcieri v. Salazar. The committee discussed the issue at a hearing in May.
S.1011, the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, a bill to extend the policy of self-determination to Native Hawaiians. The committee held a hearing on the bill in August.

The meeting takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
