Carl Edwards abruptly resigned his post as president of the Lac du Flambeau Band
of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin on Monday.
In a letter, Edwards said he was unable to resolve his differences with the tribal council. His resignation was effective immediately.
Edwards was elected last October.
