Native veterans remembered as 'Fallen Heroes'
Of the eight South Dakotans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003, three of them were Native American.

U.S. Marine Cpl. Brett Lee Lundstrom was 22 when he died in Iraq on January 7, 2006. He was a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

Cpl. Tanner O'Leary was 23 when he died in Afghanistan when he died on December 9, 2007. He was a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.

Sheldon Hawk Eagle was also Cheyenne River Sioux. He was 21 when he was killed in Iraq on November 15, 2003.

The three veterans will be honored as part of the "Fallen Heroes" that will be unveiled on Saturday at the South Dakota Capitol in Pierre.
